How scoring works

Every hit: +10Holding Space never repeats.

Pace: +0–5Shorter gaps earn more.

Rhythm: +0–10Match your rolling median beat.

Combo: +0–5+1 per 5 Perfect / Steady hits.

Perfect is within 12% of your recent beat, Steady within 25%, Rush is faster but uneven. Workshop's Orbit Relay widens those two windows.

What are spacebar clicker games?

Spacebar clicker games turn one simple control into a fast test of timing and stamina. Spacebar Sprint gives that idea two replayable paths. Ranked Sprint is a clean skill test with 10, 30 and 60-second boards saved only in your browser. Workshop is a separate 30-second economy mode where points fund an original Runner Bot and Orbit Relay. Both modes reward speed, but they also compare each press with your recent beat, so a controlled rhythm can outscore a messy burst. Use Space on a keyboard or tap the same large pad on a phone or tablet. Nothing is downloaded, no account is needed, and held-key repeats never count as real presses.

How to play

Choose Ranked Sprint for an upgrade-free run, then pick 10, 30 or 60 seconds. Choose Workshop for a 30-second run where your saved robot upgrades are active. Press Space or tap the launch pad to start; that first real press also scores. Holding Space cannot farm points because browser repeat events are ignored.

  1. Set a pace with your first two presses, then try to repeat that beat.
  2. Watch the immediate Perfect, Steady, Rush or Reset feedback.
  3. Balance speed and control: every hit earns 10, pace adds up to 5, rhythm adds up to 10, and clean combos add up to 5 more.
  4. Finish a Ranked run to place it on that duration's Local leaderboard, or finish Workshop to bank points for upgrades.

The rhythm check uses the median of your recent press gaps as your personal target. A press within 12% is Perfect; within 25% is Steady. Going much faster is a Rush, while a late press resets the combo. This makes the result about sustainable speed instead of one lucky interval. Runner Bot contributes five automatic points per second for each level only in Workshop. Orbit Relay widens the Perfect and Steady windows by 1.5 percentage points per level, up to a sensible cap.

Your all-time best keeps the site's existing achievement and personal-best system working. Ranked results are additionally separated into 10, 30 and 60-second local top-ten lists. The bank, upgrade levels and boards use localStorage on this device and are handled defensively if old or damaged save data is found.

Tips & tricks

FAQ

How do I play Spacebar Sprint?

Choose a 10-, 30-, or 60-second Ranked Sprint, or the 30-second Workshop, then press Space or tap the large launch pad. Fast, evenly spaced hits build a combo and increase each launch's value; every run ends with a score and replay button.

What do upgrades do?

Workshop points buy original Runner Bot and Orbit Relay upgrades. Runner Bot adds small automatic launches during a sprint, while Orbit Relay widens the timing window for a steady rhythm. Their levels save locally in your browser; Ranked Sprint never uses upgrades.

Can I use a phone instead of a keyboard?

Absolutely. The large launch pad is touch-friendly and uses the same combo rules as Space. You can alternate taps and keyboard presses too, but held keys do not create repeats.

Does this save my high score?

Yes. Your best sprint, total score bank and upgrade levels are stored only in localStorage on this device. Clearing site data starts a fresh save.
